Registration is $12.00 U.S, and $ 8.00 U.S for academic (students and professors).
A Site License is $ 250 and a WorldWide License is $ 1000.
If you like EasyFractPPC and use it you should register it.
If you register EasyFractPPC, I will send you a code which lets you:
- See your name listed as the registered owner of your copy of EasyFractPPC
- Receive free upgrades to EasyFractPPC when they are released
- Feel good about yourself for supporting the shareware concept
- Encourage me to write more software
There are two ways to register EasyFractPPC:
(1 - Kagi) Use the accompanying Register program. This program produces either
email-ready text or printed order forms which you send to the Kagi shareware registration
service. Kagi lets you pay by check, cash, credit card or in foreign currency (but not with
checks made out in non-U.S. currency). When Kagi receives your payment, they notify me,
and I will send you your registration code and information.
See the accompanying Register -Read Me- file if you need more information.
(2 - Direct) Simply send the registration fee (CASH ONLY PLEASE) to me wrapped in opaque paper. Mail it to the below address, and I will send you your registration code immediately. If you would like your registration code sent by email, include your email address. Be sure to include either your email address or snail-mail address.
If you are registering EasyFractPPC Direct to me, use this address:

• General Info
EasyFractPPC is a program for PowerMac which generates a fractal (the Mandelbrot set), and lets you zoom in as you want, and where you want.
EasyFract PPC is intended for people who are interested in mathematics or just for people who like "art" if fractals can be considered as art.
It is programmed in Pascal CodeWarrior and it is native for PowerMac.
• What are Fractals ?
Euclidean geometry is concerned with objects such as points, lines, circles and 3-D shapes like spheres or planes. These objects are very useful in many fields of the science (engeneering, phisics, etc.) because provide an idealized model of reality.
In other fields (such as the description of natural structures) instead they are absolutely insufficient: as Mandelbrot says, "Clouds are not spheres, mountains are not cones, coastlines are not circles, and bark is not smooth".
Fractal geometry , on the other hand, is concerned with objects, the fractals, which do model reality. Like natural objects fractals are not smooth and are often self similar. As an illustration consider a mountain. It is obviously not a smooth object. And it is self similar: if we examine part of the mountain we will see peaks and hills that are similar in appearance to the whole mountain.
So do the fractals: if you zoom the mandelbrotset you will easyly find other structures which are very similar to the fractal itself.
• Instructions
This program is very easy to use. Just choose "new" from the "file" menu then select a fractal's region with the mouse and choose "magnify" from the "file" menu.
You can then change the colors with the "colors" menu, or just continue to zoom.
The only limit to zoom is the computer's representation of real numbers.
In the end you can easyly save or print the images you create.
There are to way to save the fractals: "save as..." and "save as pict...".
The first let you open and modify the image with EasyFractPPC, while the second let you open the image with any graphics program.
• Note about the author
I am a student of mechanical engeneering with a passion for Macintosh and a great interest for mathematics (I also partecipated at the Italian final of the olympic games of Mathematics in 1995).
I started programming in Basic when I was 11 years old. Now I am 21 and I use Pascal.
This is the second program I develop as Shareware. The first "Metronome" is a simple metronome for the Macintosh.
Many thanks to all those who supported me, my family, my girlfriend, and so on.

"No Warranties at all, either express or implied..." "All trademarks are held by their respective owners..." and all that stuff.
This application should not do any damage (it was tested on various powerMac with no problem), but if it does then you will be on your own. Let me know of any bugs you run into, anyway.
